I've been thinking about this:
The year is 2022. You are an experienced scientist and have finished your time machine, which can unfortunately only travel to the past. The first thing you do is go visit the USA in the year 1900. You don't explore it that much, but rather walk up to a random pedestrian and ask for his name.
"My name is Peter.", he says.
"Well, Peter, would you like to spend some time in 2022? There are a lot of new things to see."
"Sure thing!"
You both appear in your room in 2022. He looks out the window and is astonished by how far cities have advanced. He looks at your desk and finds a weird looking device, similar to a television.
"What is this?"
"That's a computer."
"What is a computer?"
So you explain in simple terms about how a computer works and what it's used for. He's excited. He decided he wants to live in the future, saying that he didn't have many friends and family in 1900.
Now this is the question - how long would it take Peter to become an experienced "computer-man"? How long would it take you to teach him how to use a computer, from simple things like installing apps and visiting websites, to more complex things like troubleshooting, tinkering and programming?
how long would it take a man from 1900 to learn how to use a computer

you tell him to sit his ass down and code for 6 months

thats actually interesting to think about
it reminds me of how my brother mentioned "i wonder if you played 100 gecs to a child from the 1700s if their brain would just explode... cause i mean like they would never have even heard these sounds anywhere before"
i wonder how youd have to explain it to them. its kinda like those "computers for seniors" videos from the 90s that i somehow found myself watching. old informational vhs tapes from the 90s that try to explain to old people how to use a windows 98 computer by saying the keyboard is like a typewriter and the monitor is like the paper right except it can show anything u want and that the mouse holy crap idk how this even works

i cant believe youve done this

i wonder what would happen if you gave a man from the 1700s a snickers bar
also a few days ago i found a "computer manual" from 2006

Die probably because I stabbed him before you could give him the snickers bar.
